Pre-care

  • Avoid blood thinners for 7 days prior (aspirin, ibuprofen, Vitamin E, fish oil,
    ginkgo, and herbal supplements)
  • Confirm with your physician before stopping any prescribed medications
  • Avoid alcohol for 48–72 hours before treatment
  • Begin Arnica and/or Bromelain 2 days prior to reduce bruising and swelling
  • If you have cold sores or open wounds at the treatment site, your appointment will be rescheduled
  • Stop Retin-A or glycolic products 2 days prior; resume 2 days post-treatment
  • Avoid vaccines for 2 weeks before and after injections
  • Accutane: treatment must be delayed until 6 months after last dose
  • Arrive with a clean face if possible
  • Do not come fasting; stay well-hydrated

Post-care

  • Apply cold compresses 10–15 minutes at a time for the first 24–48 hours
  • Avoid heat, exercise, saunas, hot tubs, and sun for 24 hours
  • Do not massage or press treated areas
  • Arnica may help with bruising/swelling
  • Avoid makeup and skincare for at least 4 hours
  • No lasers, facials, or peels for 2 weeks
  • Remain upright for 4 hours; avoid bending forward or lying down
  • Results begin in 2–3 days; full effect at 2 weeks; lasts ~3–4 months

  • Temporary unevenness and firmness/lumps are normal during healing
  • If nodules, persistent swelling, blanching, severe pain, or skin discoloration occur—contact your provider immediately
  • Baseline and follow-up photos are recommended
  • Sculptra & Radiesse: Massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times/day, for 5 days (5×5×5 Rule)

  • You may use cold compresses on and off for 20 minutes to reduce swelling.

Pre-care

  • Stop Retin-A and autoimmune therapies 24 hours prior
  • Avoid sun exposure 24 hours prior; no treatment on sunburned skin
  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin
  • Inform your artist injector if you are on blood thinners or medications that increase bleeding
  • Wait at least 2 weeks after Naked Tox or fillers before microneedling
  • Delay treatment if experiencing an active breakout
  • Wait 6 months after isotretinoin (Accutane)

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, heat, saunas, or hot yoga for 24–48 hours.
  • No makeup in the area for 12 hours.

  • Sleep elevated the first night to minimize swelling.
  • You may use arnica, bromelain, or cold compresses to help with bruising/swelling.
  • Results and optimal outcomes often require multiple sessions.

  • If you have a history of herpes infection, start antiviral medication 1 day prior

Post-care

  • Stop all active skincare (AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, retinol, Vitamin C) until fully healed (~1 week)
  • Avoid direct sun for 7–10 days; wear SPF as much as possible.
  • Avoid direct water pressure on face while showering
  • No exercise until skin has completely healed
  • Avoid lasers, permanent makeup, or depilatories for 2 weeks
  • Resume normal skincare only once healed

Pre-care

  • Avoid Minoxidil, hair dye, or straightening for 3 days
  • Best results with multiple sessions every 4–6 weeks

  • Collagen stimulation continues for 2–3 months; final results may take several months
