TOX treatment on the traps/shoulders involves injecting botulinum toxin, which is a neurotoxin, into the muscles of the upper back and neck. This treatment is typically used to reduce muscle tension and spasm in these areas, which can lead to chronic pain and discomfort. It works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that triggers muscle contractions. By doing so, it helps to reduce the overall amount of tension in the muscles, which can lead to a significant reduction in pain and discomfort.

Xeomin® is a double filtered neurotoxin.
It generally takes 7 to 14 days to take full effect. It’s best to avoid alcohol starting at least 1 week before the procedure. You should also stop taking aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications 2 weeks before treatment to help prevent bruising.
Avoid rubbing the injection site for 24 hours so you don’t spread the TOX to another area.
